Need to go stiffer on my shock spring. Looking for a 5.6kg to replace my stock 5.2kg in order to hold up my fat ass. lol. This is a 07 TE250 with the Sachs shock.

Looking to do this on the cheap so if anyone knows if there are other springs that work on the Sachs shock please let me know. Or if you have an old spring you are willing to part with. Tia

    Yamaha KYB springs fit.

    YZ450F should be a 5.5kg in titanium.

Might be cheaper to find a Sachs spring in the classifieds here. I got lucky and got a YZ Ti spring cheap and it works well on my wr300. It is a little bigger than stock, I've got a YZ retainer to fit soon. They weigh about 1/3 of the stock spring which is sweet. Good luck finding a deal on ebay, prices were high for the Ti springs last time I looked.

I've been told by the suspension tuner and re affirmed it with race tech's spring calculator that my fat ass needs a 6.0 spring so I need to go up in rate from my previous post.

    Thanks for the help guys

Will the Yamaha spring work on the 08' TE's? I've never heard about another spring working on the Sachs shock.

The issue is clearance to air box, swingarm, etc on different models. Works fine on my 300, but was only a couple of hairs clearance on the 165.

I have a complete Sachs shock from my 2012 TE 310 and has been re-valved and it has an aftermarket 5.6 spring. Not a 6.0, but better than what you got now.
I replaced the Sachs with an Ohlins shock so I don't need it. Let me know if you're interested.

    Yes, Ohlins TTX too.
I was wondering how to measure spring rate... Probably need a gauge/press to measure force.

Yeah they were too stiff for me at 80kg race kit on wet.
    Think they're 5.5 - 6kg spring s but can't be sure.

Yeah TTX öhlin mono did a build thread on here.
    Works very well so far.

I'll look for your Ohlins thread, mine works nice too.
I see you have a GasGas 300. I rode a friend's through 100km of single track, loved it. What amazing low end torque and grip.

Save you trawling through the café
Yeah the gas gas is mental I really want the husky engine in the frame of that with bigger forks and tank.
Now that would make an extreme enduro monster.

Re 5.6 spring if it's stock in 09 was it stock in 99 lol

Is your spring really 1/2" thick wire? The calculator is in inches.
