Just returned from Moab, UT. Scenery was outstanding. Riding was great. Rental husky was just ok. Felt like it was starved for fuel or air? It was lurching 1,2,3 gears at a steady roll on. Some areas you really didn't want to feel this or you go over a cliff 1000' down to death. Lol. I got use to it and manage to ride it. Rear tire was a joke. Hardly a tread on the rear. Oh well, made the best of it.

Weird name but it was “mad bro edge” rear tire was just about bald, might as well been a slick. Motor was extremely hard to keep smooth with out it wanting to lurch. And trust me lurching was the last thing you’d want on some of the trails I rode. I wish I could say I was able to get use to it but even on the 3rd and 4th day it was scaring me at times.

I really just wanted to ride the same bike I own and feel comfortable......

Gotcha. Ok. I think that is a new name for that shop. I don’t think they used to have rental bikes.
I just tried their website and came up a bust.
    Do you remember rental rates?
Just something to keep in mind for the future.
Usually haul the bikes out there, but maybe an option for friends.
    Thanks.

It is a new name and newish location. I can’t recall the price. It wasn’t cheap for sure. They were super nice but like I said the bike need some attention. They had multiple huskys from 250,350,&450. I was surprised when I showed up that they had a light kit on the FX. I guess it was for riding on the road.

Dual Sport Utah rents Betas. Plus Jim helps us out every year with parts and quick fixes when we are down.

You don’t need much of a rear tire for Moab. Slick rock has unlimited traction. Most of us run trials tires or almost bald knobbies.
