  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I have a 2008 Husqvarna TE250/300 and I am looking for an extended shifter lever. I thought I had heard of this before but decided naaa dont need it.

Ok, maybe I do. I have a sz13 boot and a bit longer lever would be good.

I saw Zip Ty has a $40 Lever Tip that adds 10mm, but I thought there wasa longer lever. If any body has a source or Part number or any info that would help.. Thanks

Loving my TE300. I have a KLX250/351... But it does not get much attention anymore

IF you have the longer lever on yours can you submit a pic too...
Thanks

i had this one shipped to the uk from oz its the 15mm extended one down the page somewhere..
its the original husky lever with red tip extended.. has stood up perfect all last season and solved a number of issues i had..
for some reason the gear lever to foot peg distance is the shortest of any dirt bike i could find to measure...daft really but i guess those italy boys have small feet..

mine was to fit a 2010 te 310

Andy.. .Thanks for the link.. I'll keep that in my bacl posket and see what the welder wants to charge me...
Thanks Motosport

Goerge at Uptite said to lower the pegs... He thinks that it is a win win with more leg room, better when standing - I guess that is one way to raise the bars ;) that that allows the foot to get under the lever better.

Not sure I wanna lower the clearence... I'll have to take a close look at that.
I guess he cuts the tabs off the pegs and welds them back on so you mount them flipped, then the swaps the Left spring for the right and vise-versa...

Anybody had this done?

Thats a nice lever, the ZipTy lever isn't quite worth it for 10MM, I have one and it works with my 13s but I'm not sure I needed it.

the "Driven" brand shifters we just picked up are 4.75 inches from center of spline to back side of the tip. I do not have a 250/300 4 stroke here right now so I am not sure if it is longer or not. The 2 stoke Driven one on my WR360 is about 3/8ths longer.

firebolter, thank you for the info, i ordered and installed my +15mm from hdmoto yesterday and what a difference that makes, couldn't figure out how/why i was blowing shifts 2nd 3rd gear all the time, now i know! plus the $25 as opposed to $70 - $95 price tag. great find!
