    Hello to all.
After problems to get my 300 setup adjusted good for myself just build the bike back to 250 with racing head and new lectron 38mm.
Now iddle is nice wot is also good but cruising at low speeds and verry less trottle is to lean.
I got the carb new with 2-3XL rod but had this knockingvnoice by cruising.
With rod 4-2m it runs alot better for sealevel but still the same knocking noice.
What needle do i have to try does someone have an idee?

Try 110 octane. The off idle spot is where I could not get the knock out of my bone stock 09 wr250 using pump gas. If I jetted it out by going rich it was lazy and loaded up on the rest of the circuit. I helped a friend with his Honda cr250 race head bike and his won't run on 100 octane either... If we set the Lectron rich to get the knock out it was lazy and loaded up at idle.

Oke thanks alot for the answers
I tried to make a custom rod today and will test it tomorrow the 4-2m rod i have made it richer on sandpaper.
I used sandpaper and glass plate and made it thinner
My bike needs also a little more on wot.
I also got a secon 38mm carb for testing the new style one with smaller side in de carb boot side.
I coudnt notice much difference only it was leaner at wot.
Now the nirmal lectron is on with the modded 4-2m rod.
I hope it is a little richer on top and at low speeds.

I will get some rods with two weeks
    5-3 5-2 5-4 etc
What is the different to 4-2 and a 5-2 at wot
Is it the same as going from mikuni 450 main to 460 or how much more fuel does it get with a richer needle when i dont touch the powerjet.

Didnt help mutch only iddle was richer.
My bike needa alot of fuel everywhere but speciali wot
Maybe i need a 6-3 or 7-3 rod or even higher.
For now i installed the mikuni again with no problems
A little rich at low speeds with 17.5 iddle jet and 460 main.

taken from the MXA WR to CR300 full moto build (make it a CR) of the Italian Husky WR300

    Carburetor:
Wyatt Seals sent us one of Glenn Kearny’s 38mm Keihin PWK carbs (with a 162 main and 48 pilot) to replace the stock Mikuni TMX carb. The price? $250.95.

Sounds like somthing is wrong with that lectron. Those rods should be way too rich for a wr250. I cant even get a 3-2xl to run clean. I run a 3-2m with a blend of pump 92 and av gas and my part throttle ping is pretty much gone.

Strange it is but my wr always has needs lot of fuel.
Now with the mikuni on the 250 it is at iddle ipposit way
    12.5 iddle jet
Jd jetting third clip from top
    470 main

I have two lectron for testing the old style and new style with the smaller inletside.
    Both had this problem
Also wot is mutch to lean i need a larger powerjet

Do you still have a restrictor in the pipe the fact that it likes a 17.5 pilot means something is up. Husky sold a power up jet kit for those including a bigger pilot jet.

No i ride with the fmf gnarly on it
And i use the jd red needle
I checked and replaced inlet etc
    Also replaced the reed conplete
With the new reedblock i had to use 12.5 pilot jet before i had 17.5 pilot.
Why my bike likes so little and such a large main jet is strange.
    12.5 pilot and 470main
Also when i rode the 300 cilinder 490 main was to little.
I think also something must be wrong but what i have no idee anymore.
With the lectron it is to lean with a little trottle
    And at wot
I will get 5-2 and 5-3 for testing with 2 weeks

Something is not right and I doubt it's both Lectrons and a Mikuni. Have you checked your power valve operation, engine compression, leak down?
  14. QUATTRO Husqvarna
    AA Class

Yes and i had the same issue with the 300 cilinder and head and piston
Also made the powervale adjustment precize
The bike is running great with the Mikuni, the local husky dealer told me my bike runs better than a stock 300 :-)
Maybe the krank is leaking air but i dont think i would have such a little pilot jet when it takes air at the ignition side
And everything is dry there no leaking can be seen.
