Haters of all sorts unite, but I can't wait for this whole video and the bike. I'm buying one and putting Husky graphics on it! I'm going to ride the wheels of it, in my own yard and not piss off my wife and the neighbors!
Range isn't an issue for me with this bike, as it will stay close to home! Lots of other bikes for going further afield....
Two out of 3 issues that are cried about by the lovely ones who bash and wanna stop their fellow Americans from riding bikes are cured with the bike ... Watch them go all slack-jawed when they have nothing to cry about while you ride that bike ... I'll be funny to see. Add a trials rear tire and the 3rd issue that is cried about to their high heaven is gone also ... I hope to see that day for all my fellow riders ... (But I'll still be burning gas here ) -- Maybe make a perimeter track around your yard ..complete with some small berms and logging a little air time is always good for the young ones to enjoy. I'll just add one more thought... Norm, you just might become the neighborhood Idol there with the young grasshoppers and they are gonna wanna see you stand up on the pegs or pop a wheelie or something..
I like that it looks like a real bike. I bet it'd get 10 laps I think it's Beta that has an adult sized e-trials bike. Not that'd be fun on the retaining walls in my back yard .
I rode my first electric bike yesterday. An oset 20R. Still a kids bike, but very cool still. Requires a completely different mindset to riding. It made me very excited for bikes like the freeride E to come to market.
Beta's new E-trails... http://www.cyclenews.com/304/25060/Racing-Article/MotoTrials--Sherco-Goes-Electric.aspx
Instant torque and max torque at zero rpm the bike runs away with you before you have braced yourself for the surge, its quite fun have to lean forward more etc good machines love the look of that sherco!
Didn't the rear tire spin wildly? Most us PRO riders can deal with that instant stuff but what about all the young ones that that do not expect all that juice?
If we do not get any parts for the TR650 engine we can still make a E-motor with a batterypack under it. By the time we need it sure they a easy to fit on the bike and in our budget. Also have a look at the E-scooter of BMW, by the way not a bad performance yet, thanks to the E-bike industry for cars, cycles and may other industries. Till that time I keep it on fossil fuel. Regardz, John
Had a long discussion with the guys at kuberg yesterday. Sounds like that trex will be a pretty impressive bike. Should be available novemberish. Retail is $6500. Not bad for a brand new bike.
