• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

went out early this morning and got a 3-1/2 hour ride in before it got hot
going out in the morning and Monday morning too, so will get a few more pics
the hill in the pic is deceptive, you can't stop coming down, it's steeper than it looks
but a beautiful place to ride, went from 5000' to 7800'
I use my phone and it's in my pack, didn't stop but a couple times to get my bearings so pics are light

I find that using my IPhone if I take a screenshot of the pic I want to post up it usually goes up correctly ... I don’t know why And I hold my phone sideways

My Galaxy 7 camera can usually differentiate which way a picture needs to be oriented. If it misses, there is editing software to rotate correctly.

well went out this morning for a ride early
it rained a bit yesterday and felt cool this morning
so after about 45 minutes of some amazing single track, came to a downhill
I started down and must have hit a low limb I guess never felt it but about halfway down I grabbed some front brakes,,, nothing, so tried pumping still nothing
skidded (rear brakes) all the way to the bottom and noticed my front brake line was out
well that ended my ride
now I need new gloves and a brake line,,, oh well started out fun
could have been worse with no front brake and that steep,,, but survivedIMG_7408.JPGIMG_7409.JPGIMG_7410.JPGView attachment 102276IMG_7418.JPG
