    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Info For Starter Motor + Stater Drive For TE 250 2010

Hi all,


Today, my Starter Motor + Starter Drive Fixing have broken and i lost my motor oil by the entry of Starter Drive because all are go off their place.
I m from France, can anyone tell me where i coul'd to buy it or anyone have one even use?

Ok, thanks, i don't understand all what it say, but, mine never had trouble to start. My impression is that 2 of 3 screw locations are broken suddenly
 
The Problem is there no more importer in france since december and it's difficult to have parts which are not in stock in the dealers
 
Can you post some photos? I'm imagining the starter broken away from the case, but I hope I am imagining wrong.
 
What has happened is the bike has back fired while you had your finger on the starter button and pushed the worm gear out of the crank cases!

The worm gear looks like this:

I this correct?

There is a small oil feed through the gasket to the starter motor right angled bevel gears which is hard to spot...
 
Yes it's correct, because after the fixing are broken, I had back fired on the kick.... that i have never had before.... While waiting for the warranty; i have made a parts on my work, with my lasercut ( 2.5Kw 3015S LVD for the expert ), an inox 40/10 + alu 30/10 part with O-ring or homemade gasket to close the hole for starter... and finally, it's not a problem to kick as she is very easy to start with it...
And if someone are interesting for my personal part to ride without starter, you can contact me..

PS: Yes, there is a small oil feed trough the gasket... but it's not a problem now....
