• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC IMS 3.1 tank with drybreak receiver

Husq-a-daygo

Husqvarna
AA Class
Just installed the IMS tank on my 3 honey. Kit took a bit of work to install instructions left a lot to be desired as well. Stock plastics went back on but had to stretch a bit around the wider tank. Comparing the stock tank the IMS looks quite a bit larger but specs say it's only about 1/3 of a gallon larger. I dunno maybe stock tank isn't a large as specs say? Seat did not fit back on quite right. I had to remove the front retainer to get it on and the increased slope up the taller tank made the material kind of ripple up a bit. Doesn't matter much to me as I hardly ever sit anyway. I'll get back with y'all after a test ride this weekend. Also need to find a local source for billet dust cover.image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

I've seen those dry break black plastic caps that fit in and over the "valve" that they secure with a tether on many Baja and other Dez racer bikes. I will inquire. Or simply call IMS, ZipTy or ask Ajax he will know.

funny thought my wife's Lincoln MKC is equipped with a "dry break" ( fuel capless system- you just plug the fuel nozzle in and pump).

Dang dude how will I ever (try to) keep up with you now.....especially with your ability to dump fuel mas rapido****************************************

select dry break receiver and the actual cap shows up, it has a pull tab along with a tether loop to attach a line to it.

I took my 2016 husky TE 300 and had Giddings Machine Racing turn it into a Dry break they did my Italian bike and now my new bike

I like that.... I make 2 duct tape covers... put one on wax paper for pit stop and after i do my last stop before start I throw the other on..... peel it off and throw it away... I do like that little paint can deal tho

The paint top is cool, however, tape has not let me down. The good stuff sticks well and survives more than just one use, plus you can get it in cool colors and patterns for the discerning racer.

Patterson Machining @ 760 948 3050 They are $39.95 for silver and $44.95 for black makes a nice piece. Billet with a qr type locking mechanism. The ones I've seen are even engraved and look really cool. I can't seem to find a pic right now. It's probably overkill but if your into bling it definitely pops.

I just put an ims on mine too.. Fits well for an after market tank but I will probably heat up the shrouds and relax them and reshape them as well as the seat base too as it doesn't sit flat at the beginning of the slope. All in all I'm pleasedimage.jpeg p.s I know the stickers will be gone the first time gas hits them but it looks good for the moment haha will post pics later this week when I fit everything a little better
