I'd numbers on ohlins

Does anyone know if there is a way to identify what make and model bike the shock was origionally built for using the numbers stamped on the ohlins shock ? It looks like the 1st 2 letters indicate make but what about the numbers after the letters ? I've been searching online but haven't found it yet .

If they are remote reservoir, download the Ohlins manual here and see page 23, has the chart with IDs. Also shows how damping was configured originally. Doesn't identify model of bike though.

WOW ! That's great . Would you possibly have the same info for twin piggyback and also remote and piggyback single shocks ? My buddy has bought shocks just by how they're listed , with this info he can be sure of what he's buying .the rebuild infi is invaluable . THANKs Steve !
