After a discussion with a factory insider, I learned that Husaberg production will not start again, as has already been done with the Husaberg Power parts - apparel etc. So no new 2014 Husabergs. Stefan Pierer's plan is to continue KTM and Husqvarna production. Articles that appeared at Italian websites insisted that ALL Husky models (including the BMW engined) will continue for 2014. Unions are strong in Italy. So, after so many years, and after Husaberg as a Husqvarna spin-off helped create the hugely successful RFS models, the circle closes: Husaberg is needed no more, and Husqvarna will be KTM's alter ego. And if they are smart, new Husky models will have their unique features, and be clearly differentiated from KTMs.
Interesting... Moving thread... Common Topics -> Newsroom (Bike Industry: press releases, magazine articles, rumors)
Pierer gave an interview to an Austrian magazine. Factory employees (and management) read it in the magazine! Then they hurried to stop suppliers of parts and accessories, paying extra because suppliers had already bought materials or already had production underway...
bergs are cool but when & if we get red KTMs my ass is go;n on a beta or sherco... ossa would be cool if that ever happens anybody herd anything on that deal?
The death of a brand is never a good thing. Whether it be our own or someone else's. I dislike ktm a little more now if this is true
These threads all turn out the same ... I just wonder how long the Husky riders will have to endure this crap before the egos go away and leave us in peace ... -- Its OK not a ride a Husky ..Believe me, no tears for anyone ...
