    hi guys wondered if any one has either the heads up knowledge or a manual,i need to know what weight fork oil and how much [in litre derivitives if possible]to put in the forks on my 71 250:thinking: cheers guys

    .. I have a 400 MI... and just as I started to check my computer started to do automatic upgrades... so here is what I use:

    I use 15 wt yamalube.
    New assembly = 200 cc
    Replace oil = 192.23 cc

    you can round off at 192 cc.
    Also I weigh about 94 kilos... and get good response with the 15 wt oil... it seems like a good all round weight for these older forks...

    I checked my Clymers reference manual

    They list 6 oz = 177.44 cc
    20 wt oil....
