What method did you guys use to cut the front number plate to fit the round headlight? I'm thinking jigsaw then clean up with sand paper?

Also, how far up did you mount it - like fully covering the speedo?

Masking tape to cover the oval board. Careful marking out to maintain an equal gap around the outside of the light. Cut out with a jigsaw. Tidy up with a sharp blade or sandpaper. As far as height goes, if you have the stock headlight brackets and speedo brackets, it should just cover the clock. Done it this way on both of mine and it seems to work fine.

maybe this might be a thought - ready shaped with edge beading all around - in yellow, white, and green - (ebay - look for Enduro Front Number Plate):

Just got it, excellent fit and quality. Surprised the usual sources don't list that part. Now my problem is the speedo brackets. The ones I have are the shorter ones for the later bikes and end at the speedo instead of the longer ones that protrude further for the plate attached to. I'm sure those are made of unobtanium so Ill have to fab something.

Great pics. I have the under the handlebar ones, but they end right at the speedo mount screws, no extra length.

I ordered a front plate when I read the thread and it showed up today. Very happy with the quality and would recommend it instead of cutting a stock oval plate if you are looking for a more finished look.

Yup well worth the $$. Marty O sent me the correct speedo brackets, and I mounted it up last night....with BUFO bolts or course.
