Has anyone done a straight conversion from the incandescent bulb in the stock headlamp to an HID setup with the same enclosure? Seems like putting in a 35W HID would be a cost-effective method of adding more light output.
I wouldn't recomend converting the stock light to HID. The way that HID makes light is different from a regular filament type bulb. Simply changing out the the bulb with a HID set-up will generally lose the focal point and you end up with a very bright light that doesn't project very far.
