• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I'm looking to put a taller seat on my TE 250. Anyone have a Guts Racing seat foam? I'm trying to figure out whether to go medium or soft. Input/ opinions?

I have a Guts Comfort seat on my KTM 450. Best mod money can buy for that thing! I don't know if it's soft or medium, I didn't really have a choice when ordering the Comfort seat, but I know that it is about 1000% better than stock and the seat cover still looks like new 2 years later. Eric has the Guts tall seat foam on his WR426 and he loves it, said he wished he'd done it the day he bought the bike in `02. Again, don't know if it's soft or medium, though. I'd think if you're getting a tall seat because you want the extra height then the medium would be the way to go, but I don't really know. That's just a guess on my part.

Do they have a hard foam as well? I love there seats but I think this bike I have now is too hard. I am pretty sure I have the Medium density on my WR and love that seat.

I just received a medium foam tall seat and cover for my TC450. I started putting it on last night. It fits perfectly and seems more plush than the stock board - I mean foam. I have not ridden it yet though so I can't say much more.

Sounds like the medium foam is softer than stock which is what I was trying to find out. Defintely looking for softer and taller.

I don't want a taller seat. I just want something a little more plush than the stock saddle on my TE450. I do enough casual trails and pavement to warrant more cushy for my tushy.:D I don't want to go too soft though, because the foam isn't all that thick, and I don't want to bottom out. So maybe I need the medium foam.:excuseme:

I put a soft std. height on mine, but I haven't actually rode it yet. It seems softer than stock just sitting on it because it seems a little easier to touch the ground.

I also went soft because I was looking to sink in a bit more so I don't slide back. I was going to put a step in it, but I'm going to try this 1st and see if it will do the trick.

I just had them re-do my seat. I used the soft seat and it seems a bit taller, but it is now eaiser to touch the ground. This thing is really comfortable. Once again, they get an A++ from me.

Well, I certainly want to touch the ground better! That's a really nice seat cover too. Did you send your whole saddle to them?

Actually I am real lucky as they are only 10 minutes away. I dropped off the seat pan and got it back in a few days.

Oh my! Now that's a fine lookin' seat!

You know, my stock Husky seat has always been pretty comfortable...
til now.

All of a sudden it's kind of not so comfortable...:D

I use my SM610 in the summer a lot for long rides. I hate the stock seat for this. That seat looks great but as i use mine a lot I am going to go all in and get the mack daddy of seats the Renazco Racing one.

I was going to buy a Renazco but after talking with the guy on the phone I am glad I didn't. It may be a better quality, but this guts seat is in my opinion more comfortable. Besides, for 4 times the cost, having to wait till the end of May, prepay for it and then have the guy act like a ass to me were enough reasons not to go that route.

I think there is a seat for every arse, and this one fite me well....
