• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

FYI Zip Ty racing Huskys special part note

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Another FYI thing, the Zip-Ty racing Huskys were sporting a freshly CNC milled suspension link. That is all I can say, because engineering wise I have no info or idea what Ty is trying to accomplish with it,,pro-squat,,pro-rise,,smoother action,,higher in the rear, lower in the rear, better lever ratio, different ratio(yes of course)???.
I do know that the speeds across the open Dez and trails that those guys fly and what they need can be quite a bit different than what most of us need or can use, but racing development usually breeds a better end product.

Ref Parts Catalog Fig 23 Item 1 Rocking Lever Assy
all the other linkage stuff looked OEM

sorry man, Ive seen the team and their bikes twice in the last month,,,,I am not a big carry the cam aroung guy,,,the next opportunity to shoot the link will be at the RynoLand W nat HS (if the zipty crew is there,I think yes they will), and at the latest the Nat H&H at Superstition.
I may give a call and speak with xxxxxxx at ZipTy he is one of the team mechs and deals with machined parts like all the Yamaha billet stuff in the ZipTy Catalog. Ill try to glean some info. Without comparison its hard to tell what position its in,,but all the zipty machines are sporting a bright shiny with machining marks link.(heck they may even be different from each other???)
