Husqvarna is pleased to announce the unveiling of three exciting new models at the Italian motorcycle Expo EICMA – models that will give a clear understanding of the future of the brand.

Known today for their off-road models and racing successes, Husqvarna first achieved fame during the early part of the 20th Century thanks to their commitment to street based motorsport. Now, with 111 years of heritage in both street and offroad motorcycling, Husqvarna makes its return to the street segment with a new large displacement, single-cylinder model as well as two fascinating and very modern concept models.

Expanding Husqvarna’s motorcycle offerings, the new large displacement, single-cylinder model street bike will offer premium characteristics while maintaining the Swedish tendency towards functional design. True Husqvarna, and faithful to the brand’s core values, this new model being unveiled at EICMA will show state-of-the-art technology and a rich sense of heritage.

The two exciting concept models will offer a clear glimpse of the future direction of the Husqvarna brand within the street market. The prototypes will showcase lightweight construction and functionality, premium quality hardware and uncompromised design.

Discover more and see these exciting new models in person by attending our press conference scheduled for EICMA Milan, Hall 18, Booth H61 at 16.00 on Tuesday, November 4.

Yeah, I'm guessing a white 690 and a couple of far out EICMA show stopper street bikes. They like to show off crazy future bikes at those shows.

Well well well...a street bike eh? That supposedly wasn't in the cards. SP should have been a politician.

Nothing he said has really happened. Not sure if that was the plan or if after feeling out the situation they thought restickering bikes was the ideal situation for profit. I keep hearing the same rumors about a totally different Husky line from KTM (including motors and frames)... we will see.

Does sound like a new idea ... And I'm not sure what SP is doing or if SP ever mentioned streeters too often or if ever with Husky bikes. But I also know he has real Husqvarna-brand sales numbers now to look at, real advertising costs, and probably other real numbers to look at that was not available ~1 yr ago. Just watching him a yr, he does not seem like the type to sit and wait.

Husqvarna\ktm are advertising on mxlarge... Mxlarge has got the same theme on the home page of their website as Husky\ktm are pushing with the current dirt bikes on that website, and now, the same theme for this new streeter bike. ( premium characteristics while maintaining the Swedish tendency towards functional design. True Husqvarna, and faithful to the brand’s core values, this new model being unveiled at EICMA will show state-of-the-art technology and a rich sense of heritage.) He's got a ~standard theme here if nothing else ... SP is a Juggernaut, nothing less at this point in time ...

I'm clueless on any grass-root Husky street bike that was made ...

    Found this story today: http://www.cartrade.com/car-bike-news/husqvarna-plans-to-unveil-3-bike-at-eicma-125874.html
This part caught my attention, so the way it reads Husqvarna will be built in India? not real crazy about that.

KTM also announced that Husqvarna will be producing its bikes on the soil of Indian subcontinent in the future time. Husqvarna has also set up a new trend for cost cutting and is also planning to unveil its three new options in the upcoming EICMA motor show to be held in Milan in the coming few days. These new bike variants are said to be getting inspiration for their engines from the earlier KTM Duke 690, which is also planned to be discontinued soon so that a twin-cylinder engine maybe launched in this bike.
