Has anyone tried this? Efm says that you add a 1/2" to the height of the clutch it looks like there is room , Anyone have one ? How well do they work? I have had many recluse clutch equipped bikes how do the efms compare Going in a 1984 wr250

adding the height would be easier using the 90s four stroke clutch cover that has a removeable mini clutch cover

the 90s four strokes have the waterpump on the head, so the cover fits older air cooled primary kick swedes.
also lets you install the later 6 spring clutch as theres more room..
ssshhh, you didnt hear it from me!

You will need the correct shifter to clear the bigger clutch cover

I have ridden several bikes with the EFM. They work very well, and are reliable. I like more engine breaking. It has more engine breaking than the old Rev Lock. His products are very well made. Garry has come to our trail rides in the past. So I had the opportunity to meet him and try out prototype products. The coolest product he was making at the time was an adjust on- the-fly fork switch. It would switch from soft, medium, to stiff with a three position switch. And it worked! He had a showcase VOR he let me ride a lap at Loretta Lynn's. Jeff

Do you have to modify the gear lever to allow for spacing the clutch cover?.

I just realised that I have 3 x VORs and 3 x Swedish Huskys.....2 of the VORs are the early type without an oil pump, just like my TE510 Storm Trooper. It was rumoured that early VORs suffered engine failures when they were ridden at constant high engine speeds such as on road transport sections or used as adventure bikes. All the oil got pumped into the head via the reed valve and didn't drain back down into the sump fast enough, it wasn't a problem in normal off road riding where the bikes were ridden with constantly variable throttle openings/gear changes on/off throttle etc...the later model VORs got an oil pump

I talked to Garry at EFM about using one in my 87 430. 1/2 inch was too much.

HVA Factory has some clutch covers with a new shift lever, but for 82-83 years. Not sure of the differences with a 84 model.
