  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

have noticed that some 310's have twinchamber forks whilst others don't whats the go there .I have twin chambers on mine and the local dealer has one with single chamber forks also rear tail light is different as it is the same as the wr ie not a LED light .

My understanding was that on TE's they have open cartridges (or single cartridges) and the change for 2010 was that they were we going from Marzocchi from to Kayaba . But I've heard that some leftovers have been put on 2010 Te's as well, like ghte has stated.
at the end of the day if you don't know what you have- Marzocci doubles have have a red top and the singles have silver tops. I have not seen KYB's. But would assume if you have Kayaba's on a 2010 TE they are singles.

Every 310 I have seen has come equipped this way.

The 09s have 50mm open chambers and the old style tail-light.

The 10s came with twin chamber Zokes and the latest style rear fender.

That being said, maybe the Aussy importer got a real early build 2010 that didnt have those updates. If you look in the original tech specs for the 310 it was "supposed" to come with open chamber 50s and the brochures all showed with with the old rear fender. Pretty much everyone was surprised when they opened up their 2010 TE310 crates to see that they had CC forks as they were not spec'd that way originally.

Generally on marketing materials, brochures etc., for any given product, there is a little blurb in fine print that says "Specifications subject to change without notice".

Most manufacturers only put that there as a 'just in case'.

Husqvarna actually means it. I think it may be partly due to how much vino was consumed at lunch by the Production or purchasing managers, (or somebody in charge) on any given day......:D.

On a more serious note, some accessory manufacturers, such as Rekluse have restricted the amount of products they'll produce for Husky bikes because of this. Husky is consistently inconsistent in their bike specs.

At any rate the folks that got the Marz. TC equipped TE310's got a nice bonus...

yes it would be interesting to see what the mix is ,all the dirt bike mags in australia had 310's with single cartridge forks whilst the american ones seemed to have twin chamber it seems that buying a husky is like a box of chocolates you never know what you will get .

I just picked up my 2010 TE 310 today and YEP, Red top Zokes, and the new style rear fender with the LED tail lamp. The tag "hangdown" piece of black plastic that the blinkers attach to comes off and exposes the "white" section you can mount the tag to and looks just like the 2011's.

Very nice little ride, this thing is gonna be alot of fun.
