  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Check the Fuel Pump

HI,

first sorry for my bad english I´m from germany

I have a problem with my TE310`09, my dealer and I thinks the Fuel Pump (the pump wer is in the tank) don`t work the hole time so we think.

Do you know can I check the pump if it works normaly?

The Problem from the TE310 is that i have sometimes not the full power. It´s hard to describe it in englisch

Thanks Thomas

Guten TAG!

The dealer should know how to test the pump... I can't describe it accurately and it won't translate well enough for sure if I tried- but its in the Manual. Tell your dealer to spend the $10 and buy one! That's what they tell us (ok That sounds bad.... but its true!) PM ME your email and I'll send the test

You only hear the pump- when it primes initially. I would think if the bike runs just not as well as you like- its more of a problem with settings and set up- Pumps run or they don't run- they usually don't sometimes run.

Hi Thomas,
The pump can fail and I have seen afew do this!

With the Aprilia they blow a fuse and die, on the husky they seem to keep going but run really bad.

The bike runs poorly and may not start easily unless you turn on/off a number of times to prime the pump over before hitting the start button. Its as if it isn't putting enough pressure into the fuel line from one cycle when priming (the whirr of the pump).

Try a tank from another bike on it to establish if the fault is with the pump.
