• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Check out my ridonkulous forks and shock...

As you might have seen in a previous post i sent my suspension to suspesnion wizard Richard at Cannon Racecraft / House of horsepower. He asked if he could do some ridiculous $3500 full works suspesnion setup at his cost because he wants me to try it. What the heck, that's exactly what a 45 YO trail rider on a 125 needs. :D

so today, after a month wait i get it back. Looks awesome, hope it works half as good as it looks. the red on the forks turned out deep red which is very nice.

Note, the lower shock cup. it is a proprietary design by those guys that eliminates shock shaft side loading and binding. They worked on it for a long time and he says it makes such a difference he has to change the shock spring calculations and modify the damping slightly. He said you would be amazed how much the shock spring binds the shock itself.

the forks got some crazy valving, custom progressive fork springs nitrate coating, and the bling.

Should be interesting.

Gee wiz man, those are some sweet lookin boingers. If the whole bling=speed equation is true after all, you should be national pro with those things. Seriously, some nice looking stuff. I'm super interested to hear what you think of the performance. Hurry up and get out and ride. Like I have to encourage you any more. I'm sure you can't wait to try them out.

Unfortunately it does not look good for trying them this weekend. B-day for my daughter sat and benefit DS ride for a friend on sun. If the weather clears some will try to sneak in a evening ride next week. Already waited a month for him to do them up so I can wait. NOT!!!

The king of bling strikes again.:D
Seriously nice looking and anxious to see how they perform. Of course this kind of upgarde is out of the realm of most of us mere mortals.

I can break them in for you Saturday if you like...

Later,

Man, I wish I knew those had been in OKC. I would have run over and grabbed them. :)

On a side note, I met Richard at Endurocross in Guthrie and he is super nice. He even offered to help my husband put in his Rekluse (that was bought from Kelly) for no charge. Super cool of him. I will definitely be taking our suspensions there when I drum up the $$.

Yah you suck:D Wouldn't it stink if you liked the old Husky better!

Nope, that would actually work out great, then Kelly could hurry up and sell me his WR125. Mine is getting lonely all by itself.

Wow,

Those are blingerific!!! Take lots of on bike pics too and ride it soon. We want to know how they work:thumbsup:

Later,

He needs someone with some mass to break them in. Not your skinny butt. :smirk:

With that said.... I'm free on Saturday.

Those look real nice K!

for all guys that do all the carazy motor mods,,,,,,,,,,this is where all your money should go, wow those look trick with lots attention to detail, I am sure the internals will shine as well.

PS the suspension (Showa) budget for 2 bikes in world superbike per season is @250,000 bucks last I checked (if I understood the crew chief correctly)....
you got a real bargain even at 5000 bucks****************************************!

Such great friends all willing to jump in and help me out this weekend. Warms the heart.

Givers. 100%

I'm sure the pics don't even do them proper justice. Those are pin-up worthy.

That first scratch is going to hurt!

With those boingers on you look cool standing still. If they were mine I wouldn't spoil the effect by riding.
