• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

The official results arent out, but we had a nice turnout of Husky riders as this lightly attended event ...something about a ISDE qualifier in Idaho siphoning off folks !

The 50 Expert class on the other hand was well attended. 4 KTMs and the 1R BMP/Watson Suspension TXC310R of Mark Johnson, plus I went out and got some exercise on the 511 just for fun. Mark had to pass a few guys early on and then settled in to a comfortable lead and the eventual win. Conditions were treacherous as many new routes and detours were added keeping everyone on their toes, at least one stray rattlesnake, and super packed slippery dry clay everywhere else with just enough dust to be annoying.

Meanwhile at the other end of the grid, Paul S kept himself in the top 3 of the Beginner class with a solid ride on his Watson Suspension 2008 vintage 450...this may be an ex Zip Ty bike if Im not mistaken. Pauls first year racing and he is doing a great job on a 5 year old bike.

Thanks as always to Husqvarna, Bills Motorcycles Plus, Watson Suspension, Zip-Ty, FMF and Motosportz.

Thanks for the mention!

I enjoyed Eddyville , more then usual! the track layout was different and very fun! My Vintage ride, ( really vintage? ) lol. I am now saving my pennies for a 2013 now at a faster rate because of that comment.
my 08-450, did not start on the first kick, as she usually does. a thoughtful 3rd kick start gave all the Ktm's and a few others a head start at the beggining of the race. It took me until my last lap to catch 2nd place spot. fun event for sure.

I can upgrade you to a 2011 TXC511 for a very reasonable price :-)
Your 450 is only 'vintage' because its the prior generation model, its certainly a capable and modern bike.

I have been thinking of going down in Bore, and weight. and I have always liked red heads,,especially one that could start with the push of a button and has efi. :)

Well, we may have a nicely set up TXC310R at the end of the season available too since we like to rotate them regularly. You will recognize it as the one with the 1R plate on it that lapped us all ;)
