Sorry if this has already been posted. I just wanted to make sure everyone was aware of an error I found in the manual when I checked my stock jets.

On page 26 of the manual you will see the following which is the ACTUAL JETTING I found in my 300:

On page 28 of the manual you will see this, which is NOT what was in my 300:

I don't know anything about 2 strokes but that seems like a large error!

Thanks for the heads up!

Here's the carb settings from an '06 WR250 OM. The '09 settings look much richer. Maybe that has something to do with the description of the WR250/300 as "STREET LEGAL motorcycles (with LIMITED POWER ENGINE)" on page 6 of the OM.

That's the Euro model that has the homologated limited power engine,
and is street legal,...at least in Europe.

the description of both settings is not correct.

the version on page 26 is for the 250 and 300 "full power version".

the version on page 28 is for the 250 and 300 "euro-3 version".

    Thanks!

Do you know the correct float level for the 300 carb?
And do you happen to know the stock timing spec? And is the timing plate adjustable?

I've never had the stator cover off and can't verify.

    Thanks!

    float height:10mm.

and yes, the ignition timing is adjustable (the stator can be rotated by a few degrees). however, you need a special tool to adjust the ignition timing to the correct degree. so before you change anything, mark the original stator position.

    10mm!?!?
there's some bad info floating around on a few sites claiming 18-22mm or something like that. Mine's at 14mm now, but I'll change it.

I have a dial gauge indicator that threads into the spark plug hole, but if there's no indicator line on the stator plate it sounds like I'd need a wheel to do it, correct?

And I dont intend on changing the timing. I just want to verify it.

My Yamaha was over 1 degree advanced from the factory , so I like to verify things now

I know the old Mikuni TMX on pre-09's was not 10mm, more like the 18-22. The '09 is a new breed of carb though.
