Going to go explore the old Smithsonian Observatory on top of Harquahala Mountain this Sunday. Meet up will be at 10am at the TA truck stop off of 339th Ave. This should be able to be done on the bigger adventure bikes also. I'm taking my TE449 just in case though. Plus it will probably rain and make things interesting! :)

My buddy is going to ride a Triumph Tiger 800XC, but he is a very skilled rider that rides it on singletrack.

I've ridden an F800GS and I hated it. Felt wierd and rode weird. I haven't ridden the Tiger 800 yet, but I have stood on the pegs and it feels better than the BMW did. My buddy is going to let me ride his and maybe even borrow it for a few days, so I'll keep you updated. Go ride each one though. I guarantee you will like the triple motor better. That BMW just doesn't do it for me in the motor department.

I look forward to your RR, Im already leaning towards the Tiger XC becuase I hate to just join the 'crowd' if you know what I mean.
Did you ride the 800 on street or dirt or both?

Ohh and to stay at least somewhat on topic, I was raised in Litchfield Park Az. I sure do miss it, the way it was, not the way it is now.

No worries. I live way out on 331st Ave. I ride my bike from my driveway. Pretty awesome. I work at the, nuke plant, so I bought a house that's only 10 miles from it. Less commuting for 12 hour work days.

The F800 I rode was only on the street. My buddy owned that one, an R12GS, and an R100GS. The R100GS is my favorite and his also. That bike is awesome. The newer stuff is too bloated. You can actually do whoops at speed in the R100.

Had a fun ride! Rain, snow, and hail in central Arizona. :)

The 800XC made it up with damn near bald tires.

MT43 in back and MT21 in front. The MT43 was all over the place in the mud today. It does great when it's dry though. Which is most of the time here in Arizona. Even though it was loose in the mud, it was still manageable.
