  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Anyone put Moto Wheel kit on TXC510 :)

Sandgroper

Husqvarna
AA Class
Im hunting for a kit and would like to see some moto wheel swapover pics :)

Is there anything I need to be concerned about when doing the swap?

I was going to get a complete wheel/brake swapover kit but so far have only found them for the TEs :excuseme:

I think he means a supermoto 17 inch set. I would think that any set that fits a TE would also fit a TXC. All of those components are the same to my knowledge.

We did the swap thing with a former KTM and found it to be a PITA, but maybe you're more patient than we are. Mostly because you'll really want to have different gearing too and had to install the lights, etc each time. We didn't swap the brakes...just used the regular dirt caliper and rotor. They were adequate, but certainly didn't match the stopping power of the Husky 510 SMR.

We have a winner :)) Thanks for the pic.
Not sure what else to call it apart from a Super moto wheel kit.

How does it handle on the tarmac? suspension? braking?
If Im not racing (initially) should I still invest in the larger rotor and caliper extension braket?

What sproket combination are you running?

Bike works great on tarmac. No real need for the big rotor if you are just ripping around town. Gearing is 16/43 and it pulled my 200lbs to 104.8mph on my gps.
WARNING!!!
If you do this to your bike you will get in trouble with the law:doh: You will not wait for traffic anymore, you will see staircases and curbs that just beg to be jumped. It will cause sleepless nights thinking about all the fun you are going to have tomorrow:D
