Several readers have expressed interest in the sidestand that I just completed for my bike. If there is sufficient interest, and the cost can be reasonable, I would entertain making a few more. At this point the price is unknown as it will depend on the number, and my guess is that there will need to be 10 or 20 to bring the cost down. I will update with names of those who express a desire to get one of these. The stand will be better than mine as the top lug will be beefier, and the spring will be a little different, and better (no problem as is but I had to order springs from Husqvarna). The bike is very stable on the stand now, and I can mount using the left peg without fear of the stand collapsing or the bike falling over. I am just a retired guy with time to fool around, and not trying to start a business. Let me know.....

When my 630 is loaded down I can't help but feel that the side stand is going to fold up under the weight. It just feels kind of flimsy. Mine has a tendency to bang against my swingarm as it travels through its arc. I also busted the boot tab off of mine.

If yours addresses the issues I have stated above, color me interested!

I can't tell from the photos. Does yours have a boot tab?

It doesn't need a boot tab as it projects far enough to just use your heel. 'Does not project far enough to cause problems otherwise. Also clears the centerstand if one is installed (Cigar Mike's). I'll put you down as we are just counting heads for now.

'Been thinking of a larger tail rack, billet aluminum, and this is what I've come up with. I think you will need Adobe Acrobat to open it? The idea was to make it fit on top of the Wolfman rack loops so that a duffel would line up with the saddle bags. It fits the tail shape, and would mount to the stock grab handles (details in the works). Comments, suggestions, criticism, welcomed, before I pay to have one made! Thought I would just post in this thread if the moderators agree.

    Kenneth,
Do you know if the stand will work on the TE610 also? If so please add me to your list.
    Thanks

I don't know if it will work with the 610. If there is one in the Houston area and someone wants to volunteer to bring it by I could check. There may be a difference in the stop, but the stand itself will probably be OK since I used a 610 stand to modify for mine. No change in the lug or springs. Anyone nearby?

Will this work well on the SM? It's a bit lower than the TE. I hate how the stock one swings down and catches the ground before getting to the final position, makes parking on a slope extra tricky with my short legs.

It would be best to send you the stand without the foot attached so you could adjust the length and have welded locally. I think the SM is a little lower than the TE. I would need an SM here to get the length right. The stand could go to you primed, except for the bottom few inches, and you could paint it yourself. Let me know if you want to do that. I'd like to find an SM here to experiment with but the nearest dealer is 150 miles away.

There is a TE610 for sale in the classifieds here on CH. It has a stock TE630 stand on it and he said that it was a direct bolt on, no mods required. So I would expect this one to bolt on the same?

In. It's a small monster I've created here! By the way, I love Salida and can't wait to get back there again this summer.

I am also interested, there is nothing nice to say about the stock one.
