https://www.facebook.com/events/326449821044446/ Its a long way up..(10 hour drive)...but its been a bucket list item for years. Valley Climbers MC production. Every now and then we get to ride with a Valley Climbers MC transplant and 97 ISDE competitor (Matt), those D36 enduro guys are hardcore/fast. He mentioned he is heading up to his old stomping grounds. Not a 100% by any means--but for sure under strict consideration and for sure a great Tecate Enduro training mission.
Loved racing the Steam Donkey(WFO). That's my back yard. It will be good this year as I was just riding there last Saturday, ton of rain dumped on the place.
My first thought WTF is a steam donkey??? Google to the rescue. (A steam engine winch machine for logging operations)

Let's get some local seat time man!!! Matt is a D36 valley climber alum that has been down here for sometime now....ISDE vet and super mellow dude, great to ride with....but he is a one armed paperhanger busy and not so much saddle time.
Fellow Valley Climber here. Weather was great on Sunday. Great turnout too. I believe we had 170 entries. I know we had two riders end up breaking there collar bones and one guy broke some ribs. Pretty dry down low and nice and wet the higher you went. Pretty much perfect riding conditions. Waiting for the first riders to come through around 11:43 or so. I was working the special test 4 check out on Sunday. The A riders were hauling ass coming to the end of the special test right here. 3 newer Husky's were spotted. my trusty steed got to watch.
here's a picture of it's namesake (at stony... I believe): ...I'm pretty sure that's a tractor, not a donkey engine though.
