I saw somewhere that there is an aftermarket aluminum brake pedal for the early 80's husky's. Does anyone know where I can get one?
    Thanks

Has anyone tried the 85 Ali pedal on the Pre 85 bikes? I always wonder if they will retro fit??!!

I friend of mine had one on his 82, that's where I saw it first. I don't know where he got it from.
Thanks bigbill, it's in cables and controls
In the description it fits 79 to 85

I'm changing the front drum brakes over to disc brakes. I done this on a '83/250cr and a '81/420cr. It's nice having better brakes. I haven't made it to the rear brakes yet.

Better brakes is a good thing, but AHRMA frowns on front disc's!!

PS I ordered an aluminum brake pedal yesterday.

AHRMA has a new class called Pre Modern that allows disc on the front only.

No, the pedal tip position is adjustable on ours for extra 'bling'.

Andy I was referring to those ones that are sold in the states by some others. I do like the tip adjustment though

I just picked up a '85 125 rear brake plate it has the lower rod that goes forward to keep the brake from turning. It's not the grooved swing arm plate. I'm thinking I can use the alumimum brake pedal with cable. I'm thinking a few small holes can be drilled in the brake lever. I believe the alumimum swing arm is longer so the cable can be fitted and silver soldered. I may rose bud it.

the problem is how the pedal is attached to the frame.
