I can not figure out if the electric fan is started to right moment. so I decided to mount a gauge water temperature. work in progress necessary material a piece of pipe 1/2 inch steel gas a bolt thread M10x1 sensor and instruments of a Pegaso 650 motorcycle or similar
The easiest and simplest these days is probably the fin sensor that does not require plumbing (as used in the the KTM fan kits) and that allows one to adjust temp when the fan kicks in if you want. http://www.trailtech.net/digital-ga...eplacement-parts/temperature-sensor/7500-3003 http://www.trailtech.net/electrical/digital-fankit/ktm-digital-fan-kit/732-fn4
Yes, but not everyone has the skills to build the plumbing pieces. Just another option for others interested. In fact I was heading to the shop to pick up a trail tech piece that very morning, until I found out they were closed. Maybe this kit, just need to measure what size fin sensor. http://www.trailtech.net/digital-ga...mperature/tto-temp-meter-black-8mm-fin-sensor
Yes that is a great complete kit with the fin sensor I mention above. My son uses the KTM one on his enduro race bike and we have set it to bring on the fan a bit earlier than the standard thermostat - great as it also gives to the temp you are running at a glance.

this is a temporary solution that I made . I have not a precise measure of the cooling liquid in this way
I just stick one of these on my end tank, less convenient, but I can lean up and see it. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/4783/i/factory-effex-temperature-sticker
I like this idea- simple and easy to do...I don't require an exact reading. Now when you say end tank...are you talking about placing it along the top of the radiator? Thanks!
I like this solution? http://m.ebay.it/itm/TAPPO-RADIATOR...3D172418768556&_trksid=p2056116.c100408.m2460
