The first thing you should do is grind off the nub on the pivot bolt so it won't auto-retract anymore.

this is a solution to decrease the lateral inclination of the motorcycle .
does not eliminate the automatic stand back

I understand, I was just pointing out that a lot of bikes have been dropped due to the auto retract.
The 630 side stand is much improved over the 610 side stand.

Wow, didn't know that! they must have really butchered the 610 design to be notably worse than the 630.

Thanks Rotax, I did a similar mod with alloy but it wore through after 6 months, I'll try your version next. Cheers

I find that sand is a good solution to the 610 sidestand problem:

I take the thread to raise a doubt. Recently I've placed passenger foot pegs and I've noticed that the side stand touches where I point out in the pic. Is it normal?

Normal and makes a lot of noise at times.
On my SMS, I zip-tied a piece of black hose around the foot peg bracket for it to smack when you retracted the stand, but now I've got a rubber puck on top of the foot that hits the "wing" at the rear, the heelguard on the footpeg bracket.
The puck like I did won't work for your longer stand, but the hose should, at least for a while. Use something durable.

    Thank you, again.

Now I've found out another problem. With the long side stand and the foot pegs, the side stand also touches in the swing arm

So, unless somebody has another idea, I have three possibilities:
    - To remove definitely the left passenger foot peg
    - To remove it and try to bend it till I get the side stand get far away from the swing arm in the jumps
    - To put the short one, but this is way too short!

    Hi
As far as I can see, your idea does not solve my problem. Or may be I'm not right because your idea could hold the stand in a more horizontal position? May you take a pic in both positions, when the stand holding the bike and with the stand up? :)
Also, if the side stand keeps too much vertical, there is the risk that it moves backwards, so the bike could fall. What do you think?

You could mount an inverted "hook" to the bottom of the footpeg bracket, on the inside, to catch the side stand and hold it more horizontal. That would solve both of your interference issues.
Something rubberized or with a piece of hose over it so it doesn't rattle around.

I'll take a look and do some pondering this weekend, maybe replace the pivot pin with a bolt and lock nut to hold your bracket in place if you didn't want to weld, etc...

    Superb idea

Or also to "Add" some iron material (for example with "Nural" cold welding component) to the chassis where I've put the allen tool... or may be through Rotax's idea.
The easy way I think is your way. Any way the goal is to hold the side stand this way:

I'd just be concerned that anything added in that area might get abused by the side stand snapping up and bounching around, the spring isn't that strong, butt there's a lot of inertia in that sidestand.
There would be much less stress on a hook out at the footpeg.

Mine's got some nicks in the swing arm from the stand too. I switch between SM 17" wheels and the standard 18/21 TE wheels, so I had my side stand shortened, and fitted a screw to limit it's extension when down. I was going to fab an aluminum "foot" that I could bolt to the bottom when using the TE wheels so it wasn't leaning way over, but the word "puck" in the post above got me thinking. I have some hockey pucks, I think I'll carve one up into a foot with a couple counter sunk holes and bolt it to the bottom of the stand when in TE mode.
