I'm looking at buying a 98 610te that has 900 miles on it. How often should oil be changed? Any other tips on this bike that I should look at before buying this bike.
Hi, ive got a 98 te610e and for road use I change the oil and paper filter every time @1500km along with cleaning and re oiling the air filter, I take the screens out every third oil change and clean those too. I use 1.8l of 10w50 motorex. If offroad then it will depend a lot on conditions and type of use you give it but as a rough guide reckon on a minimum of oil+paper filter as well as air filter clean every 5hrs and screens every 10. So if out for the day thats everytime for oil + filter etc and every other time for the screens too. As for buying one the 610 hasnt changed too much over the years, its a good bike, so if its priced right and looks and sounds ok then you will enjoy this bike
