    Hi,
I bought an '89 510 that have had a valve break off destroying head, cyl.liner and piston.
Is it possible to use a 610 cylinder head on a 1989 510? As they seem easier to find second hand.
Also I would rather have the water pump on the head instead. Does that need a different cam?
I can't find a pic of how the pump is driven from the cam. Thanks for any help!

The end of the cam has a spot to drive the water pump so you would need the 610 cam.

Thanks George. I was lucky enough to find a NOS 510 l/c head to a good price. I will still do the clay test.
