310 R starter brushes

Looking at buying a 2013 310 r that has an issue with starter motor . They say its just brushes needing replacement ?
Does this sound likely ? I don't know much about the starter motor mechanics . Thanks for any words of wisdom .. Like steer clear

if you don't wanna deal with starter issues, steer clear. Many negative posts in the last 5 (!) years. OTOH, I love mine.
