    Good morning all,
I'm new to the forum and wanted to get some feedback on the 2014 Husky TXC310. I'm considering buying one out of Southern California from the dealership and was wondering if
I need to request that the dealership address or update anything on the bike prior to me purchasing it i.e. any recalls/updates to the fuel injection etc?? any feedback would be greatly appreciated...
    Cheers

    1. Fuel tank elbow, replace it before you break it which will happen ASAP.
    2. check wiring and routing, these are packed tight and can chafe.
    3. Check what fuses it uses and tape some spares under the seat.
    4. check that the battery is well secured.
    5. Don't want to start another oil conversation but many feel the lighter 0-40 oil is better for these bikes.

    have fun.

Whoa slow down there moto, he asked about things that should be done at the dealer :). Great list. I thought the. 14's ditched the plastic elbow. Anyway, I've yet to break mine but I'm awesome (it's going to break now :)). You forgot the Zip-Ty coolant ;).

You'll love that bike. Zip-Ty racing is the go to place for us. Check around their portion of the forum.

All good advice above JEHB. However, before purchasing an aluminum elbow from Zip-Ty (like I did) you might want to check your tank.

At some point Husqvarna must have realized the error in their ways and silently started replacing the plastic elbow with an aluminum one. When I removed the tank on my 2014 TE310R (which was purchased new) I was pleasantly surprised to discover an aluminum elbow already installed.

While I can't say for certain if the TXC received this "upgrade" for the 2014 model year I would be very surprised if it did not.

    My OEM Tank...

I suspect it would but I have not examined the tanks on any prior year models.

Perhaps someone with an earlier model can chime in...

It would but it'd probably be easier to get one from Zip-Ty

They ,it's only have done TXC as my 14 te is still plastic .
I've had my tank off to do wiring, it does have plenty of it, I tidied it up a bit, nothing too drastic though.
The fuel line doesn't have much give in it neither.

I went to order one from zip ty, $25 for the elbow and $98 postage ! :D

I'll try and get one locally (if they have them)

Bummer... I thought they'd have the aluminium elbow on the 110 anniversary models. They warrantied the 2013's

    Boogie, ignore my stupidity.
    The 14 models are done.
I checked, the tank lift is done, the elbow is aluminium.

I was looking at elbow on other end. What a moron ! (Goes to hide ) ........:D

PS try undoing the QD at the fuel rail and leave the hose hanging off the tank, thats way the factory race team mechs always did it. I started doing it that way after seeing the CH Racing Team mechs do it that way, it's easier that fiddle ffing around between the tank and frame to release the QD at the elbow. (Metal elbow or not), Both my 310s had ZipTy elbows for bullet proofing anyway.

I disconnect at the throttle body and not at the elbow. Just have to be careful when setting the tank down. I do this on both of our TXC's...so far no elbow problems....of course, now that I said that....
