I was looking at the repair manual for the 2013 and it looks like they routed the ground wire up the left side along with the positive. This allows (i'm guessing) the battery to me easily be removed. Just wondering if someone could take a few pictures wit the seal off and the left side panel off.

Wondering how tricky this would be do on my 2012, I don't like flipping the battery backward and stretching the cables every time I change the air filter.

My 2013 and 2014 bikes were mounted up the right. First job I did was replace the lead with a longer one and mount it up the left.
    I used a 2010 TE450 Lead , works a treat !

Yea I like the idea of flipping it off the side rather then disconnecting every time. Making up a new wire is simple enough.

Finally got around to redoing the wiring on my bike so I could flip out the battery rather then disconnecting it. I ended up just replacing the gound cable with a 8 gauge longer one.

Went out for a club ride for a few hours today and all went well.
