Is there a 12-tooth countershaft sprocket available for the 2012 TE310? If so, is there any downside to using one? I have a 13-tooth countershaft sprocket and a 48-tooth rear, but I am looking for lower gearing. I just got a 50-tooth Ironman today that I will install over the 4th of July, but if it is not low enough I am considering a 12-tooth CSS. Thanks in advance for any advice you might have.

I'm pretty sure it's the same part as my 2010 so yes it is available, got mine from Renthal. I use 12 and 50 tooth sprockets, seems the best gearing for tighter sections but you can still pull well over 60mph if need be, sometimes I feel I need an even lower 1st gear still as I'm on the clutch a lot through the slower stuff.

Thanks. Is there an OEM part, or is aftermarket the only choice?

Old thread but did you ever try a 12T/48 combo yet? I just installed one last night but I decided to check the valves afterwards and they were out of spec and never tested it yet.

Ended up going with 13/50. It's ok, but I think 13/52 would be better.

So you never tried the 12t/48? It will be about the same as 13/51. I like the idea of swapping the front sprocket from a 13 to 12 depending on the type of trails I run. Time will tell.
