    Hey guys I'm new the the husky family. Got a decent deal on a 250 TE. Bike is in mint condition engine wise. It has spark compression fresh gas. She turned over once when me and my buddys bump started her ( weird because she's FI). Anyway my buddy is a mechanic and he says it has to be some sort of sensor. Where just trying to figure out how to run a diagnostics test what software and exact ports we need to connect the 250 to the pc. I'm just a tad confused I read online that I need a usb from husky and ibeat and some sort of disc or file plus the adapters that connect to the bike. Can someone point me in the right direction. I plan to order everything tonight. Also I'm not a noob to bikes I've done a couple engine rebuilds on KTMs and Hondas haha.

    -Thanks

    There is an Ibead thread on this forum:
    http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/the-ibeat-thread.44621/page-34

    What you will need is;
    - (virtual) PC/Laptop running a 32-bit version of Windows
    - IBead ISO-file
    - Lonelec 6-pin adapter cable mentioned above
    - "VAG KKL 409.1" ODB2 USB cable from Aliexpress (or Lonelec version mentioned above)

    After that you need to;
    - Install Oracle VM VirtualBox on your PC and create a 32-bit virtual Windows machine (Guest)
    - Install a Windows 32-bit version on your virtual machine
    - Install the IBead ISO in your 32-bit virtual machine environment
    - Install the driver from the CD, delivered with the ODB cable, on your host PC
    - Forward the USB port from the host to the guest PC
    - Hook it up to the bike with the Lonelec cable
    - Start Ibeat in your virtual machine and set communication to COM3 in Ibeat

    I have no idea what that key does. If you have the Mikuni EFI you only need what I listed. The 6-pin connector should be located behind your headlight and is plugged with a dummy male connector.

    I think the USB key shown is just the owners manual in soft copy and nothing to do with iBeat.

    You can download iBeat, no need for an original CD.

    what do you mean by won't turn over? does the starter solenoid click at all? or just nothing? those xlite motors are notorious for having starters bind up. otherwise check your fuses

    it clicks but she won't fire on. I checked the spark plug and timing valves are to spec and so are the shims. My buddy is a mechanic and he thinks the ecu may need to be reflashed. I haven't went threw the fuses yet that is a good idea. I'll do that sunday.

    if it clicks but won't turn over. it's most likely a weak battery or the starter bendix is binding. have you tried kick starting? or bump starting. if it starts it's not the ecu.

    Shes running beautiful now. It was the flywheel. I plugged it into the ibeat and it came up that the flywheel on the bike wasn't the correct one. The guy I bought the bike from gave me a spare bottom end. I replaced the fly wheel and she fired up first kick. That was the oddest thing I ever came across while working on dirt bikes and I've done full engine rebuilds on the old XC4 ktm engines. What ever though at-least she's running.
