I'm getting a SM610, that is for sure . Now the hard part: I've been told by my dealer that he can get a 2009 SM610 in four weeks or a 2008 SM610 in about a week. The 2008 is cheaper by about $800. What would you do and why? Are there major updates for the 2009? I have a TE250 so I can still ride so no worries there!

Not sure but I think bigger diameter front fork and black rims
If that's true ( you can ask the dealer? ) and you have another bike to ride and an extra $800 I would wait :excuseme:

Either way a good choice :D

Did the same math in my head. I have a 08 TE450. Well, I did not see the benefits to the bigger forks and black rims. I have the 08 SM610 for that reason. 800.00 bucks will do allot. Like the power up pipe and such from George at Uptite. I actually got the bike for 6000.00, 350.00 to ship and 580.00 tax and registration. :D < that is how I look when I am riding.

Thanks for the replies. I decided to go with the 2008 as I'm itching to get into the SM fun as soon as possible and I may be able to convince the wife that the $800 should go towards farkles such as a more comfortable seat (for her, of course ;)). It's going to be a really long week as I wait...
