Just wondering what size sprockets are favoured for a 2008 TE 450. I predominantly ride tighter more technical trails...any feedback appreciated.

My wife has 14/50 and its perfect i think. Still goes plenty fast enough on transports and low geared enough for tight/hilly stuff. Really need to try for yourself, i prefer 52 on the rear.

Buy up some old sprockets from users on here to try the ratios for a short blast then buy the ones you want new would be the cheapest option?

    13/50 is what I use.
  4. I've had good luck with the following, all can be run with OEM chain length.

    13/50: Single track
    14/48: TAT, general off-road riding
15/48: Road bias (I haven't run this since braking the bike in.)

Plug some values into Dale Hunter's most Excel-lent spread sheet ...

For 13/50 on an 08/09, you need a longer chain.
