  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc 2006 CR125 value? New guy here!

New guy here! My friend has recently gotten a bike and would like me to get one as well. I've been wanting one for quite some time but just don't the money. I'm 15 and have been saving for quite some time now.

I found a 2006 Husky CR125 with an Eric Gorr 144 kit. The bike also has an fmf pipe, barkbusters, and the owner said it has some type of clutch that makes the bike almost stall proof. He said it's like a recluse clutch.

The bike will need new plastics soon and the left radiator has a dent but does NOT leak. He is asking $1000 and I thought that was a great deal. I'm about $250 short of the 1k so iIwould have to borrow it from my parnents then pay them back.

Does the Husky communitiy think the bike is worth a thousand? I thought it was but would like some input from the guys who have bought/sold them before. Thanks!

I'd buy it at that price and really wouldn't care what's wrong with it. Even if it needs some work and I'm sure it will if its that cheap, it will be easy to learn with and relatively cheap to repair. Have fun. If I were fifteen I would tell my parents I only have 600 and need a loan for 400. That way I had a little money left over lol. Then again, I got whooped a lot so do what you will...lol

Buy it !!! It's a way better bike than anything I ever had when I was 15. Hell for $1000 if its in Australia I'll buy it if you don't.

Sounds like I'm going to take a look at it this weekend then! Anything I should look for to make sure everything is good?
