Hi, I am looking for the right clutch cable for my 2001 610. I have tried this one:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HUSQVARNA...874618?hash=item4d4a877afa:g:ctoAAOSwFV9X0AGp

But the threaded part on the clutch arm end doesn't fit through the bracket on the engine.

Then I have tried this one:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361911038361?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

And the cylindrical part on the lever end is too small for the hole in the lever

Finally I settled on this one

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Husqvarna...038311?hash=item5443943167:g:KLYAAOSwFqJWryIw

which is completely wrong but since it was the cheapest I bought it and tied the end around the lever which did me for a few months but is now only hanging on by a few threads and about to snap so I really need to identify which clutch cable is the correct one for mine.

I have got the part number from the parts fiche but Husqvarna want £60 for it! Part num is

    89124

Any alternatives before I pay these extortionate rates? I figure getting the bracket from a 2006 engine would be an option but I don't think someone would want to sell it separate from the engine.

Well I finally got the clutch cable. Turns out it's wrong!

My original clutch cable had a 90 degree piece coming off the bracket

The new one doesn't have this piece so this happens when it's fitted

How many different types of friggin' clutch cable can there be for a 2001 sm!?

I have always wanted a hydraulic clutch. Thanks, that is very interesting!
