125-200cc 1993 Wxc 360 clutch side crank seal direction?

    Can anyone confirm the factory orientation of the crank seal on the clutch side? When I disassembled, the spring side was facing out (towards clutch). Thinking maybe someone previously installed backwards thinking the spring needed to face the gear oil...?? I would think the spring side should always face the side that will see higher pressure.

    I have seen this before. I usually install it with the spring facing the oil.

    The manual for the WR250/300 says to: "Fit the spring side towords the pinion of the primary drrive". Misspelling included.
