1983 wr500 Ohlins ITC shock filler valve broke

Hi all,

As seen in the picture, the nitrogen filler valve with the schrader inside broke. not sure how, I bought the bike like this intending to restore it. Does anyone know if this part can still be had? or if there is an equivalent part out there? It doesn't look like it has a standard NPT thread. Last choice is to get something machined, any help or advice is appreciated. The shock is currently at the shop getting re built so I dont have access to it.

So the thread is M10 x 1.5 which is not a common size. Going to get something machined!

He told me just to email Ohlins america, I just ended up making one, I'll post pictures when its back on the bike

Exactly, I'm really excited to get some progress on this project. The poor bike looked like it was beat to hell again and again. Cant wait to ride it again. so if this happens to anyone, I got a filler valve from canadian tire, got the threaded end turned down to 10mm and then I tapped it, then had to go back and get the o-ring groove machined in because I had forgot.... all in all it was like 40 bucks so my wallet will live another day...

Best to bin the Schraeder valves and go with a modern style Ohlins end cap that is filled using a needle. We have 100 in stock!!!
