  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Here are a few pics of my 1976 Husqvarna 360 WR which I have owned since new that I have started to restore to its former glory after having it sit in the back corner of my workshop for the past 30 yearsvarious 342.jpgvarious 345.jpgvarious 346.jpgvarious 348.jpgIMAG0135.jpgIMAG0145.jpgIMAG0146.jpg

Mike,
Excellent work!!! Buddy of mine growing up had the same bike and he hauled a@@ on that thing. Can't wait to see updates/finished project.

thanks guys, just waiting for front wheel to be re spoked, new chain, clutch brake throttle and cables and sort out the wiring

greetings from the US!
You did a super job on your restoration. So much so that I also aquired a 1976 WR360 CC that I could only hope to get to half that level! Having said that...
I'm finding it very hard to find simple little "dink" parts such as chain rollers and little things to get it back to it's former glory.
Would it be possible to "pick your brain" somewhat regarding where to get parts and maybe carb set-up suggestions for a Gurtner etc.? Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated as so far I'm running into big fat zeros on a lot of things.
I look at your bike pictures daily as an inspiration to keep on keeping on!
Till next time!

Dido on the great restoration, I am in the beginning of a resto on my 76 wr360 and would like to know who did your tank, or did you do it? And what formula did you use for the paint. It looks great.

Is there a resource for the tank "Husqvarna" lettering template for a paint job...also side stickers on the air filter cover, etc. Thanks

Hi
Sorry have not been on this site for awhile, parts like the rollers for the chain guide i machined up myself out of some black hard wearing urethane. A lot of the parts i got from Husky parts, Vintage Husky and from a guy in Australia who has now gone out of business, I also had a fair few parts that I had from 1976 when was sponsored by Husqvarna as spares for my bike

it will see a bit of dirt am hoping to take it to an enduro I won back in 1977 that they still hold later on this year
