I wasn't going to PC the frame, but now glad I did. In addition to the frame, I PC'd other parts too (swing arm, brake lever, fork clamps, foot pegs, brake stay arm, air cleaner cover, etc.). Total cost $625 USD

Two stage paint, silver with a clear coat. I think it turned out spectacular. The two stage really did the trick. Didn't lose the VIN either.

I think she looks pretty good for being 47 (almost 48) years old. All I have left is lacing up the wheels and installing the chain/sprocket.

I forgot, for the $625 they also media blasted a few parts. The two stage PC added $100.

Unfortunately, I'm not at home right now. Which is why I couldn't respond to the RAL question.

This is as good of picture that I currently have.

I've been remiss in not showing the completed bike. I like the way she turned out.

TexasMule - your restoration is a thing of beauty. It makes my knees weak. From your pics I gather that it now lives in your house. How can you look at it and not want to ride it?

Chris, I'm assuming this is what you're asking about? Not sure if that's OEM or someone did it later.

    I do believe that's OEM.

She's retired, just like I am. We're both too old to hurt ourselves anymore.....

She brings a smile to my face every time I see her. Can't ask for more than that.

Hey Mule, I am working on a 73 250 and it has the gussets on the peg mounts too so, I had never seen them and thought I would ask. As for the bike I agree that is a beauty and the reason I started looking for a 73 250 as I have a few 450s and 360s and my knees are blasted too! I have my bikes at my work and when I want to ride I have a young Buck show me how its done!!:notworthy: Then take a ride around the property! Thanks for getting back! Chris
You mentioned 2 part powder coating? Ral 9006 white aluminum , what is the clear??
