    Hello all,
I have a set of WR250 forks and I am in the process of changing out the seals. I have bought 2x pairs of 35-47-7 seals as recommended by a parts supplier.
The old seals consist of a top scraper type seal 35 x 47 x7 and an inner seal 35 x 47 x 10 with a code number UAI-01375. There is also a gap between the seals. (All dimensions in millimetres).
    Would this gap be normal?
I am wondering if there should be a spacer fitted in the gap?
What do you guys normally fit?
Also, what is the correct grade of fork oil and what quantity is required in each fork.
    Cheers

The seals you purchased will be fine as long as they are for motorcycle forks. They would be installed one on top of another. I'm not sure why there would be a gap between the outside diameter of the seals. They should just butt against one another.

Factory recommends 201cc of 20-50 SAE fork oil. Weight depends on your riding style and the temp you ride in.

Attached is a PDF of Tech Data for 250WR MK frame.

    Thanks for the info.
The depth from the top of the fork slider to the bronze bush is 21mm. If I fit the new seals that I have, they will only make up 14mm. The top seal should be flush with the top of the slider so there has to be a gap within the 21mm space.
    Seems a bit odd?
    Cheers

At 7mm tall your seals are probably single lip. The replacements typically used are double lip and they measure 10.5 - 11mm tall each. You could add another 7mm seal for a total of 21mm or just go with two unless you are looking to ride a lot then I suggest using three.
