1972 WR250 air filter decals

    ......what decal is correct for the center of the air filter box ? Or was it just a “add on” by the owner ?

    Any ideas?

    Someone will hopefully correct me if I'm wrong... When I was a kid I remember those air filter decals showed up on the new bikes at the dealer. They commemorated a "win" like a world championship so they might not be on early production bikes... they were added after a championship was won.

    Of course I'm sure you could buy the decal and add it...

    I don't think there would have been a dealer or factory installed one in 1972... maybe late 1970 to 1971? And then again late 1974 or so.
