Have just put a 4.1 gal. tank on my stock '16 TE300. Has anyone been able to run a full 2 hours at very fast race speed on 4.1 gal.? Thx

I have a stock tank and can race 2 hrs easy. Well depending on how much open throttle I'm doing. Most of the races here in AZ (enduro, cross country type), you tend not be WOT. Mileage has been in the 35 to 45 mile range.....

I'm interested in the range you now have and how the install of the 4.1 worked out?

Moto6280, just got back from Moab trip, which got cut short due to roof leak problems on the home in CO. Anyway, got to ride one day, with very mixed throttle application - everything from light, to medium, to a lot of WFO miles including 10 road miles @6,000 rpm to get back to our starting point. Was definitely jetted too rich. Saying all that, I used approximately 2.1 gals. to ride 50 miles. I think if my jetting were spot-on, it would improve the mileage by 10%. Based on that, my range with the 4.1 gal. tank should be at least 100 miles at a fairly aggressive pace. If range is the goal and not speed, I think it could go 120 miles if I stayed out of the power valve, unlike a lot of this ride. The tank is excellent, no complaints. Fits perfectly, not too wide to be a problem, and holds 1.2 gal/41% more than stock. Will be easy to switch out to the stock tank if I want a leaner feel for rides less than 60 miles. Will carry a couple red 30oz. gas bottles on those rides for backup. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info. Often ride 70+ miles and currently have to carry some extra fuel just to be sure to make it back.

Can you please tell us what brand the tank is? I think it's bigger than I've been able to find near home and that's good extra capacity.
