'08 te610 fan control

    anybody have an idea why disconnecting the connector from the temp switch next to the spark plug starts the fan??

    It shows up as a faulty temp sensor in the ECU. The default for a faulty temp sensor is fan constantly on.

    exactly. if the sensor breaks in this way, the cylinder head gasket will not be burned due to excessive temperature
